White was made with styrofoam balls on white paper. The inspiration for the piece is rooted in my fascination of shapes and materials. The photograph was created through the white balls whose different sizes complemented each other and formed a whole together which draws on the purity and serenity of a world dressed in a coat of fresh, white snow. Nature, blanketed in white powder, is born anew and allows for brand new perspectives to be discovered. Just like snow, you can shape art into various forms by combining different elements in the right way. The placement of the balls and the white tonality exudes tranquility and balance in the shot as a whole, but simultaneously, the smaller units tell a story of their own. A story which reminds us of the little details forming something bigger.
